Misconceptions in physics learning are a common problem that can hinder students' overall conceptual understanding. This study aims to identify the level of students' misconceptions before and after the implementation of local wisdom-based physics learning on the topics of momentum, impulse, and collision. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a diagnostic test method administered in two stages, namely a pre-test and a post-test. The research subjects consisted of 25 students. Data were collected using a reasoned multiple-choice diagnostic test instrument designed to reveal misconceptions on each conceptual indicator. The results showed that prior to the application of local wisdom, students' misconception percentages ranged from 0% to 28%, with two students recording the highest percentage on momentum and collision indicators. After local wisdom-based learning was implemented, a decrease in misconception percentages was observed in the majority of students, with the group showing very low misconceptions (4–8%) increasing significantly in number. Local wisdom proved capable of functioning as an epistemological bridge connecting students' informal knowledge with abstract physics concepts, allowing conceptual change to occur more meaningfully. It is concluded that local wisdom-based physics learning is effective in reducing students' misconceptions and has the potential to be developed as a contextual and sustainable remediation strategy.
