I. ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES AND OPEN ACCESS
Reader access and Article Processing Charges are separate matters. Open access means that readers may access published JSDA articles without paying subscription or access fees. Where an Article Processing Charge is applicable, the charge relates to publication processing and does not restrict reader access to the published article. Authors should consult the journal's Article Processing Charges (APC) page for current information regarding publication fees.
J. NO SUBSCRIPTION BARRIER
JSDA does not require readers to purchase a subscription in order to access the full text of articles published under the journal's open-access model. This approach is intended to support broader scholarly communication and public access to research findings.
K. THIRD-PARTY MATERIAL
Materials reproduced from third-party sources may be subject to different copyright or licensing conditions. Authors are responsible for obtaining necessary permissions for copyrighted figures, tables, datasets, images, or other materials that are not covered by the article's open-access license.
L. DATA AND SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIAL
Open access to an article does not automatically mean that all underlying data, software, code, or supplementary materials are unrestricted. Authors should clearly state applicable access conditions for datasets, code, or supplementary materials, particularly when ethical, privacy, legal, commercial, or confidentiality restrictions apply.
M. OPEN ACCESS AND RESEARCH VISIBILITY
| Accessibility
Research is accessible without subscription barriers. |
Dissemination
Published research can reach a broader national and international audience. |
