Twenty-first-century physics education requires innovative learning approaches that enhance not only conceptual understanding but also critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and the application of knowledge in real-life contexts. The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) approach integrated with Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has emerged as a promising strategy to support physics learning through investigation, design, and product development activities. This study aims to analyze research trends, methodological characteristics, physics topics, STEAM component integration, and research gaps related to the implementation of STEAM-PjBL in high school physics education. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework to examine relevant articles published in accredited national journals. The findings indicate that STEAM-PjBL has been widely implemented to enhance students’ creativity, critical thinking skills, scientific literacy, science process skills, and learning outcomes. However, the integration of the Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics components remains insufficiently developed, indicating the need for more comprehensive and contextualized STEAM implementation in physics learning.
