Industry 5.0 emphasizes synergy between humans and technology to create a more adaptive, productive, and human-centered life, requiring counseling services to continuously adapt and innovate. This article aims to examine the prospects, opportunities, challenges, and obstacles of guidance and counseling in facing the Industry 5.0 era, while also describing the importance of developing counselors' competencies in utilizing technology appropriately and in a human-oriented manner. This study employs a library research method with a descriptive-qualitative approach, drawing on 20 primary sources including national and international journal articles, academic books, and relevant research findings, analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that the Industry 5.0 era opens wide opportunities for the development of the counseling profession, including through online counseling (cybercounseling), the use of information and communication technology, and digital supervision. However, this era also presents challenges such as demands for digital literacy, ethical use of technology, data security and confidentiality, and the need to preserve the humanistic dimension of the counseling process. Therefore, adaptation and innovation in guidance and counseling services must be pursued in a balanced manner, keeping humans at the center of service delivery, supported by strengthened professional, social, and digital competencies among counselors, along with collaboration between counselors, educational institutions, and policymakers
