The phenomenon of learning outcomes among out-of-town students at the Faculty of Christian Religious Social Sciences, State Christian Institute of Kupang, shows variations in academic achievement influenced by various factors, one of which is parental support. Out-of-town students face various challenges, such as adapting to a new environment, meeting academic demands, and having limited opportunities for direct interaction with their parents. Therefore, parental support is assumed to be one of the factors influencing students’ learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of parental support on the learning outcomes of out-of-town students from the 2023 cohort at the Faculty of Christian Religious Social Sciences, State Christian Institute of Kupang. This study employed a quantitative approach using a simple linear regression method. The study population consisted of out-of-town students from the 2023 cohort at the Faculty of Christian Religious Social Sciences, State Christian Institute of Kupang, with a sample of 65 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The results showed that parental support had a positive and significant effect on the learning outcomes of out-of-town students, with a t-value of 6.260, a significance value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), and an F-value of 39.184 with a significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.383 indicates that parental support contributes 38.3% to the learning outcomes of out-of-town students, while the remaining 61.7% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.
